Founder’s Statement
As an artist, I blend my Nigerian heritage with Texas culture to create unique experiences that challenge perceptions and foster connections. My work with Mama Kuku's Homestead, Texas's first snail farm, is a living canvas where agriculture, sustainability, and artistry converge. I believe in the transformative power of unexpected combinations - be it in cuisine, agriculture, or meditation.
Through my art, I seek to create spaces where diverse cultures, nature, and human ingenuity coexist harmoniously, inviting viewers to reimagine their relationship with the world around them. As a multidisciplinary artist, entrepreneur, and founder of Mama Kuku's Homestead, I've rooted myself and my family in the Lone Star State, bringing a vibrant fusion of African traditions and Texan innovation to my work.
My artistic practice extends beyond traditional boundaries, encompassing sustainable agriculture, agricultural education, and digital media. This integration of diverse elements - from heliciculture to mindfulness practices - exemplifies my core belief that art and life are inseparable. By defying conventions and transforming challenges into opportunities for creative expression, commerce, and community building, I strive to inspire others to see the beauty in unexpected connections and the potential for growth in every aspect of life.
